Please complete an online registration form for each person attending the conference. A confirmation email will be sent to you within 2 hours of registering. If the confirmation email is not received, please contact HISA either by email: hic@hisa.org.au or telephone +61 3 9326 3311. 

Upfront payment by credit card is required (we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express). This form does not allow you to pay via EFT or cheque. Please contact the HISA office (hic@hisa.org.au or telephone +61 3 9326 3311) for access to an alterrnative form.

Presenter consent

HISA will be making all of the slides from HIC and NIA available to attendees of the conference. HISA may record some presentations, to be made available in the future. If you are chairing a session this form is still applicable to you as you may be recorded.  

If you agree to release your voice and image for this purpose you understand that:

  • Your presentation will available on the conference/HISA website
  • You will receive no financial or other compensation for doing so 
  • The video will become the property of HISA in perpetuity
  • The logo of the company sponsoring the event may be included at the start of the final edited version of the video, and that the HISA logo will be watermarked over the length of the video.
  • The presentation slides will only be available in PDF format. If you require modifications to your slides i.e. you don't want particular slides published, it is your responsibility to go to the speakers prep room after your presentation and advise the staff the changes you would like made.

Novotel Sydney Darling Square

If you require accommodation for the conference week, we have organised a discounted rate at Novotel Sydney Darling Square which is a seven-minute walk to the conference venue. The rate is from $279 per night and subject to availability.

The Novotel Sydney Darling Square is a short 5-minute walk to the convention centre.

Room rates: To book your accommodation please contact the hotel directly. Rates per night are subject to availability and hotel pricing. 

Changes: Any changes to a must be made directly with the hotel.

Cancellations/No Shows: You may be required to pay a cancellation/no show fee. The amount will be dependent on the hotel’s terms and conditions

- HISA member rate applies to current members at the time of the conference. - Payment is due within 30 days of receipt of invoice. If payment is not received the registration will be cancelled. - Only one promotional code is valid for each registration. - Student registration is valid for full time students only and must be accompanied by proof of full time study. A copy of your current student enrolment form or a letter from your faculty confirming your full time status must accompany your registration - Registered delegates authorise HISA and its official photographers/videographers to photograph them within the context of the event. Registered press representatives will be taking photographs and videotaping portions of the conference. Pre-registered sessions Attendance to the dinner and some workshops is included as part of the full HIC registration but is not guaranteed. Attendance to these sessions are allocated on a first in first severed basis however due to venue capacity delegates may be waitlisted. No refunds will apply for sold out events/workshops. Notice on HIC conference week associated events The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) is the owner of the Health Informatics Conference (HIC) and various, endorsed HIC branded forums, industry events and breakfasts. All official events are included in the HIC program available on the web site or the conference App. As a delegate, if you are invited to a HIC co-branded event or an event utilising the HIC event logo please ensure it is endorsed by HISA as part of conference week activities. You can check in the program or contact the HIC team if you are unsure an event is part of the official activities during the week. Exhibitors and sponsors who would like to organise a concurrent event (launches, networking events, breakfasts) as part of HIC conference week, and would like to use conference marketing channels, are requested to advise the conference team. Cancellations - All cancellations must be notified in writing to hic@hisa.org.au - Cancellations received 14 days prior to the conference will incur an AUD$100 administration fee. - Cancellations received within 14 days of the conference, all monies paid are non-refundable. - Refunds are not available for any unused services. - Substitutions may be accepted, please contact HISA at hic@hisa.org.au - Please ensure you take out appropriate travel insurance. If you are unable to attend the conference due to transport cancellations/delays you will not have your registration refunded. Privacy HISA retains your personal information for the purpose of conducting the HIC 2018 and other conferences only. Your personal details will NOT be shared with any marketing or other third party organisation. Information that relates to your booking will be shared with the conference venue and accommodation if it is appropriate.
